DESCRIPTION

The Dallas metropolitan area is one of the fastest growing urban centers in the United States. At the same time, its homeless population is increasing dramatically. “Beacons of Hope: Seeking Shelter in Dallas” presents the people and organizations improving life for the homeless in Dallas.

 

SYNOPSIS

Exploring stories of personal redemption, selfless organizations and life-saving community programs, “Beacons of Hope: Seeking Shelter in Dallas”  takes a holistic look at collaborative homeless aid in the Dallas metropolitan area. 

 

This documentary follows five nonprofits, each with their own niche methods for helping the dispossessed back on their feet. Together they form a network which ensures that the necessities of a rapidly growing homeless population are provided. 

 

Comprising these groups, there are countless Good Samaritans from every walk of life working shoulder to shoulder. The remarkable stories they’ve lived and the lives they’ve changed push them to continue their efforts despite the daunting challenge of piecing together shattered lives.
